DJ MIXES
I love making DJ mixes and have dropped a few videos on my Youtube channel. At the moment I'm really into UK Garage, French House and anything groovy!
Through DJing I've been able to develop my skills in finding and curating music and playlists, as well as practicing my skills in song transitions and using the effects rack on the decks.
MUSIC REVIEWS
I love discovering new music and making reviews. I've recently teamed up with the Babie Club collective to write about new music releases from local Australian artists! You can also check out more of my music reviews on Musicboard.
I've been able to utilise my skills in writing through my music reviews, especially in being able to better articulate my thoughts and opinions. Listening to new music has also opened up my musical tastes and preferences, and I've been able to discover so many different artists and genres.
SOUNDCLOUD
During the pandemic, I became interested in beat making and purchased FL studio. Over the years I've really enjoyed making trap, hip hop and electronic music.
I've been able to learn a lot about workflows and the user interface of both FL Studio and Ableton, and have been able to improve my skills in Ableton Live upon taking production, mixing and mastering classes at RMIT. I'm looking forward to creating more music on Ableton Live as I have recently purchased the software!
